Privacy Policy

This Policy describes how the NestGuide app ("app", "we") handles your data. NestGuide helps mothers and families plan their baby's layette.

1. Who is responsible

NestGuide is developed by Hermes Digital, contact email help@nestguide.app. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use that email.

2. What data the app collects

The app collects only what's needed to work:

• Profile: country and city, due date, number of babies and their details (name — optional — and sex), routine preferences (changes/day, washes/week), feeding plan, and travel data (when applicable).
• Layette purchases: items, quantities, prices, stores, brands, dates, notes and — if you attach them — photos of products and receipts.
• App preferences: language, theme, primary currency, notifications.
• Identification: when you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymous identifier from Apple. We do not collect your real name or email — Apple lets you hide them, and the app doesn't need them.

The app does not collect precise location, contacts, or microphone, and does not track you across apps.

3. Where the data is stored

• Your personal data (profile, purchases, photos, receipts) stays in YOUR iCloud — in CloudKit's private database, on your own Apple account. We do not have access to this data and it never passes through our servers.
• The Promotions tab is the only part that uses a server of ours. It contains only public offers, the same for every user — none of your personal data is sent there.

4. How the data is used

The data is used only for the app to work for you: calculating suggested quantities by season/climate, organizing your purchases, totaling spending, showing the customs allowance, and personalizing suggestions. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.

5. Sharing with third parties

• Apple / iCloud: storage of your personal data (in your iCloud) and Sign in with Apple. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
• Affiliate links (Promotions tab): some offer links may earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you. When you tap a link, you go to the store's website, subject to its policy. You are never required to buy.
• Anonymous analytics (if enabled): we may use a metrics tool that does not identify you (no name, no email, no cross-app tracking), only to understand aggregate usage and improve the app.

There is no other sharing.

6. Children's data

NestGuide is an app for adults (the expecting parent/family) to plan the layette. It records information about a baby (optional name, sex, due date), but it is operated by the responsible adult, and that data stays in their private iCloud. The app is not directed at use by children.

7. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)

You may, at any time:

• Access your data — it is all visible inside the app.
• Correct — edit profile, purchases and preferences freely in the app.
• Delete — use Settings › Delete account. This erases your profile and all your purchases from iCloud. You can also delete the app.
• Portability / questions — write to help@nestguide.app.

8. Retention

Your data is kept while you use the app. When you delete your account, it is erased from iCloud. Data you have already exported or saved outside the app is not affected.

9. Security

Personal data stays in your iCloud's private database, protected by your Apple account. The app's communication with the internet is over HTTPS.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. Relevant changes will be communicated in the app and/or on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
